- Any follow-ups that come from previous tasks.
- Any interactions with you that involve a task.
Not Charged
- Answering questions about the My Viet Friend service, or what we can help you with.
- Your sign-up process, such as getting basic essential information from you (phone number, email, shipping address, etc.)
- Waiting for your or a third party’s response on tasks. We deduct minutes only for our active focus.
- Resolving something that resulted from our mistake (which we try very hard to never make, but own if we do).

Join My Viet Friend
In-person Helper
- My Viet Friend can help remotely in most cases – by calling on your behalf, on speakerphone for live conversations with others, or online through text. We’ve gotten quite good at it. Sometimes that is not enough, though, so we also offer in-person support.
- The minute rate (8k/min) is applied, with a 2-hour minimum.
- Travel time to and from a location is free within 10km of Hoan Kiem Lake. Then 10k/km.
- In-person support is billed after the work is completed instead of in advance.
